Could be better

I opened this product and it looked great, i personaly did not have any shipping issues. I cleaned my Saab 9-3 hood completly and i tried applying the vinyl, took many tries to take the air bubbles out, i had various scars in the end on the vinyl. This product can be great if it came with instructions, the color at sunlight is great and it looks awesome but its not easy to apply and you may have the adhesive come off the vinyl if you stick on and stick off more than twice, i recomend using a heat gun while extending it before application, this will make it so much better. over all good product but not as great as the official 3M .

Pretty good stuff.

I purchased a 60" x 15' sheet of black carbon fiber vinyl about 5 days before Christmas. I wasn't sure whether it would get here in time before Christmas and sure enough it didn't. When I looked at the tacking number a few days after my order it said it had been delivered to Texas! (I live in FL) I promptly emailed them and was told it was a shipping error and that they would ship one to my address the next day, which they did. It arrived in a timely manner after it was shipped to the correct address and I unrolled it almost immediately. I found it to be in very good condition with about 3" in length over what was stated. I already had the diagrams and dimensions for the pieces I was cutting for my 350Z and began cutting shortly after it arrived. The back of the roll has kind-of a graphing paper layout, making it easy to get your bearings on the sheet (though it's not exactly accurate). The application was quite easy, for the most part. I used rapid-tac for wet applicatio n (which I STRONGLY recommend over a dry application) after I had thoroughly cleaned the surface with water or alcohol. The reason I recommend a wet application is because of the backing on the vinyl, the glue will easily separate from the vinyl causing it not to stick and can cause bumps and clumps of built up glue in undesirable locations. The wet application technique will allow you to lift the vinyl again without glue separation (usually), re-position and re-apply. I have some experience with other vinyls and glue separation was not a problem, which is why I suppose the price is so low on these. The vinyl can be stretched around complex curves using a heatgun or hairdryer. Overall I would recommend this vinyl to those looking for a cheap alternative to products such as 3M and others. It's not as good quality but it gets the job done and looks quite good.
